Radlett Strategic Rail Freight Interchange, Hertfordshire

Ecology Solutions, led by Simon Taber, advised on a major Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) site following the grant of consent at High Court. Simon designed and led a comprehensive programme of ecological surveys and devised mitigation strategies for Great Crested Newts, other protected species and acid grassland translocation, in order to discharge relevant planning conditions. Simon worked closely within a multi-disciplinary team to inform the detailed design of the proposals, including proposals for a Country Park. A European Protected Species licence application for Great Crested Newts was obtained to cover site investigation works.
