North Street Quarter, Lewes

Peter Hadfield was the lead consultant in preparation of a Compensatory Habitat Scheme and Ecological Design Strategy for this residential-led comprehensive redevelopment of an industrial estate on the banks of the river in Lewes.  Specific regard is had to the inclusion of biodiversity enhancements in this future urban environment, as well as enhancing the status of the river with respect to protected and notable species.  The work included liaison with the project team and stakeholders, including the County Ecologist, Environment Agency and Natural England.
