Perrybrook, Brockworth

Ecology Solutions, led by Josef Saunders, was an integral part of the design team that successfully secured Perrybrook, a 1,500 unit urban extension in Brockworth, Gloucestershire.  

Ecology Solutions successfully addressed concerns raised by Natural England in respect of recreational pressure on the Cotswolds Woodlands Special Area of Conservation (SAC) together with providing detailed input into the strategic green infrastructure and biodiversity gains that the scheme will deliver. 

The decision was ranked number one in the ten most-studied appeal and call in decisions in 2016 (source Planning Resource December 2016). This could be due to the fact that the project secured by the Secretary of State in March 2016 was the first major green belt housing approval in five years.
