Highflyer Farm, Ely

Peter Hadfield was the lead consultant in the preparation of a Site-Wide Biodiversity Strategy as part of Redrow Homes’ submission for the first phase of this significant extension to Ely on Church Commissioners’ land.  Redrow’s scheme is the first phase of the development, but their responsibility extended to providing a framework for the development of the site as a whole, which included this comprehensive document taking into account the establishment, enhancement and future management of a wide range of habitats and protected and notable species.  A separate strategy was produced for the Redrow scheme, drawing on the vision and objectives established in the Site-Wide Biodiversity Strategy.  This included liaison with key stakeholders such as the Wildlife Trust.
